SRC Bistra Ptuj is established as a non-profit scientific-research and development institution for the purposes of planning and managing the development of the Municipality of Ptuj and the entire environment of the region.

Among the basic areas of operation are:

(costs of providing information)

(1) In order to provide information, the authority may charge the applicant only material costs where these exceed 20€ (including VAT).

(2) Where the conditions referred to in the preceding paragraph are fulfilled, the Authority shall charge the applicant material costs for the transmission of the following information:

  1. transcription, photocopy or electronic record holder of the information required, whereby the copying shall be deemed to constitute any duplicate by technical means,
  2. the conversion of information from electronic to physical form, if the information is exclusively in electronic format and the applicant wishes to receive the information in physical form,
  3. the conversion of information from a physical to an electronic format, if the information is purely in physical form and the applicant wishes to receive the information in electronic form,
  4. making a photocopy for the purpose of providing partial access for access to documents,
  5. postage for postal mail.

(3) The institution does not charge the costs:

  1. for access to documents, where there are no cases referred to in point 4 of the preceding paragraph,
  2. for access to documents in electronic form, regardless of the partial access made, if it is done in electronic form,
  3. for telephone communication of information,
  4. for the transmission of information by e-mail, if it is not at the same time the cases referred to in point 3 of the preceding paragraph,
  5. for transmission of information by fax, which in total does not exceed five pages.

PRESENTATION OF SRC BISTRA PTUJ

The public institution SRC Bistra Ptuj developed from the Bureau for Strategic Technological Development, or shortly BISTRA, in 1994. Our main tasks are planning and managing of developmental activities in municipalities of the Spodnje Podravje region.

Core activities of the institution include:

  1. promotion of development in the Spodnje Podravje region on all areas of work on a local level;
  2. establishment of a link between universities and institutes, and transfer of scientific and economic knowledge to SMEs;
  3. promotion and creation of knowledge in order to stimulate the area of human resources in the region.

VISION

SRC Bistra Ptuj wants to remain an important scientific research and development institution involved in empowering development with knowledge and excellence, in the public and private sectors.In order to successfully link science and economy, SRC Bistra Ptuj acts as a mediator for a better development of the region, based on knowledge, innovations and expertise, thus opening possibilities to create a region of innovations.

SRC Bistra Ptuj is the leading development institution and acts as a mediator between the public and the private sector. As such, Bistra will continue with the promotion of economic and social development of the region and with the creation of conditions for spreading and managing knowledge at local and regional level. Our aim is to improve development dynamics within the region.
SRC Bistra Ptuj is engaged in strengthening staff potentials and competencies of four task groups. Our activities are directed towards long-term goals of the institution.

 

Centre of entrepreneurship and innovations:

  • Support for local enterprises, from the business idea to realisation;
  • Simplification of bureaucratic procedures for enterprises;
  • Business counselling in the field of business planning, IP protection, funding and investing, industrial R&D, marketing and sales activities.

Project management and regional development office:

  • Management of international cooperation;
  • Supporting activities for the acquisition of financial resources from national and international funds, aimed at funding development projects.

Development centre for regional tourism:

  • Management of the Regional Destination Organization (RDO) by supporting the development and marketing of new tourist products, creation and marketing of tourist offers, and supporting the development of tourism infrastructure;
  • Due to the importance of development in tourism, our aim is to create a link between the tourism industry and the local communities, consisting of 27 municipalities and the civil sector (societies, associations, etc.). 

 

In future, developmental activities of SRC Bistra Ptuj will provide results, designed for the implementation of a development vision and strategy in the local community. The results will be placed in the national and international environment, thus importantly influencing a breakthrough in the development of local communities and individuals concerned.
A number of different activities (research, experimental development, counselling and education) of SRC Bistra Ptuj are intertwined between these four task groups, who will continue to ensure the application, development and implementation of R&D projects.
In future, SRC Bistra will be working on projects, related to the promotion of regional development. These are performed in the public interest and provide for better quality of life in the local community.

 

IMPLEMENTATION OF EXISTING PROJECTS BY INDIVIDUAL DEPARTMENTS:

  1. The role of SRC BISTRA Ptuj: SRC Bistra Ptuj currently operates as:
  • an intermediary (established as a link between companies and the educational and research sphere in Slovenia and internationally).
  • coordinator (preparation, management and coordination of projects, support environment for implementation, coordination and administrative and financial support of all of our own and joint projects of partners).
  • knowledge institute (development organization with RR group) own RR infrastructure, knowledge and solutions and integration into the development of new products / technologies of companies (on demand and as a result of own development).

  1. The today's status of SRC Bistra Ptuj acts as a research and development organisation that organises development efforts in terms of promoting development and entrepreneurship at the regional level, joining the process with local communities - municipalities and business entities. We follow the basic mission of creating a nucleus of natural science-technical, technological and social sciences and personnel potentials needed for the development of the region.

    Within the SRC Bistra Ptuj, three personnel and content cores were formed:
  • Promoting local and regional development and the economic development of the RDA (Regional Development Agency)
    • in the field of regional development and entrepreneurship, we offer comprehensive development organisational-technical and financial support for the development of the Spodnja Podravje region,

    • administrative and financial support for the coordination, management and implementation of own or joint projects,
    • providing an adequate information and communication infrastructure for coordinating projects of a larger number of partners;
    • the implementation and support of applications for various national tender or tenders of the EU,
    • promotion of activities of SRC Bistra Ptuj, users and joint projects,
    • organising and conducting trainings, seminars, workshops, etc.

 

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT AND ORDERS OF SRC BISTRA Ptuj

In the further development of the SRC Bistra Ptuj, it will be necessary to ensure that the results of the work will continue to be devoted to the development vision and strategy of the immediate and wider local community and its orientation in the national and international space. The various activities of SRC Bistra Ptuj, which are related to research, experimental development, counseling and education, intertwined between the three content pillars, will thus continue to prepare, develop and implement applied development projects for different clients within the region, the state and the wider world. SRC Bistra Ptuj will direct its activities in the next period to the implementation of tasks related to the promotion of regional development, which are implemented in the public interest, and follow the goal of continuous improvement of the quality of life in the local community, while also playing an important role in connecting to a new emerging region.
