Scientific Research Centre
The objective of the Scientific Research Centre at SRC Bistra Ptuj is the formation of a creative research and development space between the economic and the academic sphere.
At the research and development at ZRS Bistra Ptuj we focus on:
- natural sciences and technics,
- humanities and social sciences.
Through youth research youth research we try to acquaint children and adolescents with the skills of research.
Natural sciences and technics
The objective of the research group in the field of natural sciences and technics is based on acquiring new basic and applicative knowledge from the field of chemical, biotechnical, ecological and other nature and technics related sciences.
Humanities and social sciences
Humanities and social sciences are indispensable strategic developmental components at the positioning of SRC Bistra Ptuj as a significant internationally comparable research and development institution. They are oriented towards an integrated disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and development of traditions and cultures.
Youth research
Because we believe that “youth is the future of the world” we try to acquaint children and adolescents with the skills of research. We cooperate with educational institutions and through the educational process teach young people about the importance of research for further development of the society.
Among young people there is an increasing general interest for research activities, because research had become much more attractive, easy and interesting through the help of technics. Additional reasons are that educational institutions demand a precise approach towards the learning material already in the early stages of the educational process. This is easily obtained through the help of research assignments and camps the number of which increases by the year.
In the field of youth research we also organize regional competitions of young researchers and research camps and thus try to help young people with their life decisions.
